We listened.

The ACCU-CHEK Inform II:
the system you designed.

Real innovation in patient care, connectivity and durability.

The ACCU-CHEK Inform II system offers innovation designed to help you give your patients the best care possible—the kind of innovation that really matters.

  • Results in 5 seconds from 0.6 μL sample
  • Wireless transfer of patient data (when enabled)
  • Centralized control of test strip lot data
  • Easy-to-clean, durable housing
  • No maltose, xylose or oxygen limitations

Barcode Scanner (laser)

The integrated barcode scanner can be used to read operator and patient IDs and helps ensure the right operator is performing the right test on the right patient.

Test Strip Port

Insert test strip here. This is the only opening on the meter, helping to simplify cleaning and protecting internal components.

Touch Screen

Touch a button to easily navigate between screens and enter data, answer prompts or review results.

On/Off Button

The On/Off button turns the meter on and off.

Base Unit

Charges meter battery, communicates with meter via infrared window, and provides bidirectional communication with POC data management system via USB or Ethernet port. Unique design helps prevent pooling of liquids and minimizes additional cords.

Base Unit Status Display

Red (steady): Power on, application starting.
Red (flashing): Error.
Green: Ready.
Blue: Configuration mode

Sealed Battery Pack

Raised contacts let battery recharge when meter is in base unit.

Reset Button

Resets device without altering configuration.

Flexible configurations for enhanced connectivity and easy network integration.

The ACCU-CHEK Inform II system is the first POC blood glucose device to offer meter-level wireless technology for real-time patient data transfer. The meter sends patient ID and POC test results to the POC data management system immediately and automatically, without the need to be docked.

You can connect the ACCU-CHEK Inform II system to your existing POC data management system without the need to reconfigure your network. Flexible meter and base unit configuration options make it easy to integrate the system with your hospital network, whether your infrastructure plans include wired, wireless or a combination of both.

Designed with patient safety in mind.

Patient safety involves more than just an innovative meter. As a leader in point-of-care blood glucose testing, Roche Diagnostics brings together extensive hospital experience, connectivity solutions, and comprehensive resources to help you implement best practices in patient safety and patient care.

Built on a legacy of trusted performance, the ACCU-CHEK Inform II system conducts over 150 integrity checks with each test and delivers accurate, reliable test results in 5 seconds.

ACCU-CHEK Inform II test strip: results you can trust, delivered in 5 seconds.

New patented technology allows the ACCU-CHEK Inform II test strip and meter to deliver accurate, reliable test results in 5 seconds, with no maltose limitation. The system conducts extensive integrity checks with each test, provides underdose detection and requires a 0.6 μL blood sample.

Test performance that meets today’s requirements for accuracy.

Test results from capillary blood samples using the ACCU-CHEK Inform II system show excellent correlation to reference samples, meeting the ISO accuracy acceptance criteria of ±15 mg/dL for results <75 mg/dL and ±20% for results ≥75 mg/dL.4

Principal measurement electrodes

Conduct integrity checks before measuring glucose concentration

Easy-fill tip

Offers capillary end dosing to quickly absorb blood sample

Fill sufficiency electrodes

Ensure enough sample is applied to conduct test and help prevent need for another finger stick

Sensing contacts

The system uses 6 gold electrodes, patented AC/DC technology and a validated algorithm to correct for hematocrit and temperature

Over 150 integrity checks to help ensure accuracy and provide underdose detection.

With each test, the ACCU-CHEK Inform II system runs complete meter, test strip and sample checks in a matter of seconds, to provide underdose detection and help ensure accurate test results. Each time a test strip is inserted, the meter runs initial system and strip checks before giving the signal to apply blood to the strip, helping to prevent the need for an additional finger stick.
